Woodrow Wilson Center Fellow, 2017-18
Masuda Hajimu has accepted a position as a residential fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars, Washington DC, US, during the 2017-18 academic year. He is working on his second book on Japan’s social and grassroots experience of war and occupation, with a particular focus on the recurrent rise of grassroots conservative backlashes from the 1930s to the 1950s.
